DASH allows energy engineers, consultants and drive (VFD) customers to enter the operating parameters for an unlimited number of pumps and fans using benchmark energy consumption and power draw factors and their own measurements. When these data are combined with financial parameters like installation costs and peak demand charges, the software calculates return on investment (ROI) for an unlimited array of VFD investment scenarios. Dash allows a consultant to quickly analyze efficiency opportunities for all pump and fan applications in a facility, or even across multiple, distributed facilities, simplifying the process of recommending VSD retrofit opportunities and helping the customer to prioritize the investment of limited funds.
When you begin a DASH project you're given a choice -- do a quick calculation on one pump or fan, or build a complete project with many fans in pumps in many locations.
- If you choose QuickCalc mode, you can select a fan or pump, enter parameters, and view and print an estimated ROI in seconds.
- If you choose Project Management mode, you can create an unlimited array of upgrade scenarios, compare ROI, and then you can view, save and print with your clients or colleagues.
Dash can also be used as an analytical extension to data aquisition and research tools. For example, when combined with RADCL Software, a Web 2.0 research system, Energy Engineers can conduct unlimited machine and system audits of fleets anywhere in the world, and then use DASH to complete their financial analysis.
